Custom Sylvaneth
Color and paint schemes
In the workshop, few ranges are as evocative as the Sylvaneth, but this commission came with an unexpected twist: a forest on fire. The client wanted an orange, yellow, and blue palette, inspired by one of their visual references.
The project encompassed five pieces with a strong presence: Alarielle, Belthanos, Durthu, a Treelord Ancient, and a Treelord. All were worked to a Ornate level, with Ornate bases for the tree creatures and Premium bases for the main heroes.
The final result left us with a feeling of a mythical forest: warm light between the branches, liquid shadows on the roots, and an almost narrative tone that unfolds from figure to figure.

Customer briefing
Echoes of Autumn in the Sylvaneth
Some miniatures were already assembled, although somewhat damaged from use, and the challenge was to restore them before starting to paint. He sent us a reference image with a warm palette, centered on orange and amber tones, which served as a guide for defining the entire scheme.
The commission covered both assembly and repair, as well as painting and bases. All the figures had to share the same aesthetic, with the exception of Alarielle, who would have a cooler, more spiritual color treatment.
During the planning phase, we maintained constant communication to define nuances of light, contrast, and wear.

A symphony of leaves and resin
We painted the armor and bark in a unified manner, applying layers of desaturated oranges and yellows over a warm pre-shading. We then worked on each unit individually to avoid deviations in tone and saturation.
The bases were made with resins, pigments, and natural vegetable dyes, seeking consistency among all the pieces.
During the process, there were several rounds of review with the client, especially for the heroes. The demands were high, but the result was worth it.
