Kill Team Cult
Color and paint schemes
In this project, we had the opportunity to bring to life one of the most iconic and disturbing armies in the Kill Team universe: the Brood Brothers of the Genestealer Cult. The client entrusted us with the task of assembling and painting a complete roster, with all the necessary options to deploy a competitive and thematic team on the table.
From the outset, we defined a scheme inspired by the official style: dark military uniforms with red details and pinkish hybrid skin, reinforcing the duality between human and xenoform. Visually, the ensemble conveys the feeling of an organized army, but one clearly marked by the corruption of the Cult.
The bases play a fundamental role in this project. We opted for a rocky, reddish desert finish, achieved with a mixture of pigments and textures that add realism and consistency to the display. Each miniature looks like part of the same battlefront, reinforcing the cohesion of the Kill Team.
The process included complete assembly and ornate painting for the main miniatures, while the accessories, scenery, and game markers were worked on at a game level, prioritizing functionality and durability.

Customer briefing
The Awakening of the Brood Brothers
The starting point for this project was simple: a client who was passionate about Kill Team wanted to have his Brood Brothers Kill Team ready to play. He found us thanks to our previous work on Warhammer miniatures, and he didn’t hesitate to trust us to bring his collection to life.
The commission included both the assembly and painting of an initial force consisting of 15 Brood Brothers, accompanied by essential characters such as the Magus, the Primus, and the Patriarch. Shortly thereafter, he asked us to expand the group with four more miniatures, necessary to complete the range of strategic options offered by the Kill Team rules.
As for the scheme, he was very specific: he wanted the army to maintain the official style, with dark uniforms and red stripes, reinforced with the pink hybrid skin of the genestealers. The only variation he requested was in the bases, where he asked for a different style than usual, inspired by a desert-like, reddish terrain, which fit perfectly with the Cult’s aesthetic and gave character to the whole set.

The Cult marches on, hidden in the crowd
The process for this project began with a test miniature, which was key to defining both the color scheme and the style of the bases. After a couple of adjustments to the base, the client approved the proposal and we got to work on the rest of the Kill Team.
Assembly was the first step: each miniature was carefully assembled, ensuring that all the pieces were ready for a clean and defined paint job. Once the set was ready, we moved on to the color, always following the official style: dark uniforms, red details, and pink hybrid skin.
During the painting process, we shared daily photos of the progress with the client, showing how the Kill Team was taking shape. From the first shades on the Brood Brothers to the final details on characters such as the Magus or the Patriarch, each step forward allowed us to see how the entire army was coming together.
The desert bases, worked with reddish pigments, were made in parallel, so that each miniature progressed completely, ready to be deployed.
