Warlord Titan
Color and paint schemes
The commission consisted of assembling and painting a Warlord Titan accompanied by a squadron of Astra Militarum veterans, represented by the relentless Krieg Death Corps.
The color scheme was defined by the client, and it was a real challenge: red, white, and black plates with marbled finishes, meticulous freehands, and an aging process that had to reflect rust, grease, and extreme wear and tear. We didn’t want a shiny Titan, but a battle-hardened machine. The Korps accompany this aesthetic with matching uniforms and equipment, reinforcing the visual narrative.
The base was a work of art in itself. On a 45 cm circular base, we built a network of trenches out of foam and wood, designed to fit both the Titan and each of the Korps in their corresponding places. We added terrain details, fallen soldiers, and war debris to bring the scene to life.
The assembly was a unique challenge. We had never worked with a miniature of this size before, which forced us to use steel rods and DIY tools to secure parts such as arms and legs. The coordination between several painters for the freehands was another major challenge: we had to adapt styles and techniques, but the end result is so uniform that no one would guess that two different hands were involved in the work.

Customer briefing
Rust, Oil, and Glory: The Language of Scars in a Warlord
The client came to us with a very clear idea and a huge challenge: he wanted to see a Titan Warlord accompanied by a Kill Team from Krieg’s Death Corps, all in a diorama representing a battlefront with imperial trenches. From the outset, we understood that this was not just a matter of assembling and painting miniatures, but of shaping a story in miniature.
The commission included a color scheme defined down to the last detail. Each plate of the Titan had to be treated in a specific way: intense reds, worn whites, and deep blacks, with custom freehands and marbling effects. In addition, realistic weathering had to be reflected, with rust, grease, and clear signs of mechanical wear. For the Korps, the guideline was to maintain color consistency so that the whole would convey visual and narrative unity.
There were also special requests: the Titan had to be integrated into an imposing base, 45 cm in diameter, designed to fit not only the giant, but also each of the Korps in specific positions within the trenches.

The Roar of the Giant: Building a Titan from Scratch
The process of this project was as demanding as it was exciting. We started by numbering and cleaning each piece of the Titan Warlord, as the resin needed careful preparation before assembly. To make painting easier, we assembled it in sections: legs, torso, head, and weapons separately, while the decorative plates were left for last, reserved for freehands and marbling.
While one painter focused on the legs and one of the weapons, another worked on the torso, head, and the rest of the armament. It was a real challenge to coordinate ourselves to maintain total uniformity in the effects and details, especially in the freehands, where our styles had to merge into one.
At the same time, we built the 45 cm base, carving trenches into foam and reinforcing them on a wooden structure. We drilled holes to fit both the Titan and the Death Corps, which we painted individually before integrating them into the scene.
The most complex part was the logistics: thick steel rods and an electric drill to hold giant pieces in place. Every day we documented the progress and sent photos to the client, who could see how, step by step, their vision was being transformed into an impressive reality.
