Snow Krieg
Color and paint schemes
From the outset, this Krieg project brought back that harsh, frozen atmosphere. This time, we had to expand the army with new key pieces: a Valkyrie loaded with cold OSLs, an armored Taurox with winter camouflage, and the ever-charismatic Solar Lord—which we had to customize.
The goal was clear: to integrate all these reinforcements into the established aesthetic, maintaining that desaturated military green, black areas on the infantry, and the white added to the vehicles to continue reinforcing the narrative of the frozen front.
The entire project was worked on at the Ornate level, both miniatures and bases, combining assembly, magnetization, 3D pieces, and conversion. The bases recreated that frozen terrain that works so well with Krieg’s military green.

Customer briefing
Green camouflage and dense snow
From the very first message, he made it clear that the scheme had to be exactly the same: muted military green, infantry predominantly dressed in worn black, and vehicles with their characteristic white camouflage, perfect for the snowy environment we had been working on.
The Lord Solar had to be converted following a reference he had found on the internet. He also wanted us to incorporate printed effects for the Valkyrie, specifically pieces from Deadly Print, to achieve a sense of movement in the aircraft.
Everything had to be at the Ornate level, both bases and miniatures. And, as it was an expansion, his main request was consistency.

General picture of the project Ornate level
The Silhouette of the Lord Solar
We started the project just like we did with the first expansion: we unified the color with an airbrush to ensure that all the greens came from the same base mixture.
The critical point was the conversion of the Solar Lord. We removed the front piece of the horse, resculpted the joint, and added the legs from the Serberys Riders. The miniature gained dynamism and a sharper pose.
The Valkyrie needed additional adjustments due to the Deadly Print parts. We had to sand, adapt, and fit them so that they looked like part of the original kit.
As always, we sent daily images and videos of the progress via WhatsApp, from the primer to the final touches of snow. The end result was impeccably consistent with the existing collection.
