Dark Angels Squad
Color and paint schemes
There are projects that force you to refine your skills and respect every layer of the background story. This was one of them: an army of Dark Angels designed to represent the era of the Great Crusade, when their colors were even darker and more solemn.
The army included names from the lore: Lion El’Jonson, Azrael, Lazarus, Asmodai, accompanied by Deathwing Knights, Terminators, Bladeguards, and a solid Redemptor Dreadnought.
The bases evoke a withered forest environment, with dry branches and roots contrasting with the dark green, almost black, armor.

Dark green and silence: the reinterpretation of a classic
Our client, a veteran hobbyist, contacted us with a very specific request: “I want my Dark Angels in the colors of the 30th millennium.” The idea was to respect the original colors of the Chapter before the Heresy, without any signs of damage or wear.
The briefing detailed each unit, from iconic heroes to tactical squads. We took care of everything: assembly, magnetization, bases, and painting, with an Ornate level of detail throughout the army. The bases were meant to evoke a desolate forest.
The priority was to maintain perfect color consistency among all the miniatures, achieving an army with a striking presence and clear narrative.

The guardians of mystery: how we painted a flawless chapter
We started with a complete airbrush session on all the pieces, applying the dark green, almost black base that defines the Dark Angels. This massive step allowed us to gain speed and maintain total consistency in color saturation.
The cold lights, plasma OSLs, and metallic profiles were worked on with precision to reinforce the grim and solemn narrative of the army. The heroes received special treatment: each with small nuances that distinguish them without breaking the unity of the whole.
Before closing, we performed a complete quality review, adjusting the brightness and saturation of the greens to achieve a uniform result. The entire army was documented step by step with daily images.
