Black Templars
Color and paint schemes
Every time we work with the Black Templars, we feel like we are immersing ourselves in a ritual. For this commission, we painted an entire detachment following the classic scheme of white cross on black armor, a balance between devotion and fury.
The project combined several services: assembly, magnetization, bases, and painting. This army also included small custom 3D pieces that added texture and visual cohesion. The heroes were painted at the Ornate level and Sigismund, as befits his legend, at the Premium level.
We sought to reinforce the grimdark aesthetic that characterizes the Black Templars: muted tones, cold lights, and a deliberate use of wear and tear on edges and plates.

Between devotion and the fury of combat
The client, with whom we had already collaborated on several projects, presented us with a new challenge: to take their Black Templars collection to the next level. From the outset, they wanted to respect the traditional design.
He asked us to apply a differentiated treatment according to hierarchy. In addition, he requested that each Sword Brethren squad have different shoulder pads to reinforce individuality within the overall cohesion.
It was a very detailed briefing, with clear requests for cold lights, red OSL, and well-defined Templar symbols.

After a few minor adjustments requested by the client, we gave the green light to the rest of the army. We organized the painting by squads: first the basic black armor and white shoulder pads, then each group differentiated with their details and insignia.
The workflow was smooth and methodical. As we progressed, we sent daily photos and quick approvals via WhatsApp, following our usual routine. The heroes were saved for last.
When we finished, we made the bases together to ensure visual consistency throughout the army.
