Tyranids Army
Color and paint schemes
For this project, we worked on a new Warhammer 40,000 Tyranid force that needed to blend seamlessly with miniatures we had previously painted for the same client. It features a well-balanced mix of gigantic monstrosities, fast-assault creatures, and support units.
We handled the entire process, from assembly and magnetization to painting and base-making. Most of the army was given an Ornate level, both for the miniatures and the bases, while Old One Eye received a Premium finish.
To achieve this, we used dark-toned shells with brown undertones and cream-colored skin accented with distinctive yellow spots. The bases were set in an arid, dusty landscape dominated by reddish earth and dry vegetation.

Customer briefing
Monsters, swarms, and biomass
This project came about as a natural continuation of a previous project. The client already had a collection of Tyranids painted by our team, and their main goal was to expand the army while maintaining exactly the same visual identity.
The color scheme had to replicate the tones used previously, preserving both the color of the carapaces and the appearance of the skin. In addition, the client requested that several units be magnetized, especially those that were larger or would benefit from more convenient and secure transport.
The centerpiece of the project was Old One Eye, which would receive a Premium finish to stand out from the rest of the army. The rest of the creatures were painted to a Ornate level, aiming for a uniform and consistent finish.

The unstoppable advance of the Swarm Mind
We began with the assembly and magnetization tasks, preparing each unit before starting the painting process.
One of the main challenges was maintaining maximum fidelity to the original design. We spent time studying references, analyzing colors, and adjusting processes to reproduce the finishes as accurately as possible. The goal was for the new additions to blend naturally with the rest of the army.
The miniatures were painted one unit at a time to maintain internal consistency within each group and facilitate quality control throughout the process.
