Blood Ravens
Color and paint schemes
We love projects that allow us to immerse ourselves fully in the Warhammer universe, and this commission from the Blood Ravens has been one of those experiences that we enjoyed from start to finish. It is a complete army set in the classic Dawn of War aesthetic, with that characteristic deep red, bone-colored shoulder pads trimmed in black, and knee pads that mark the veteran status of each unit: black for the basic squads and bone for the veterans.
The client asked us for something special, and not only did we deliver, but we also paid attention to every detail. From the initial assembly to the ornate level painting, including very careful customization. Among the units, a converted Exterminator Captain and an Exterminator Librarian stand out… Added to this are ten Exterminators, with 3D-printed assault cannons that we added especially for this unit.
The bases, also at the ornate level, are crafted in a devastated urban environment, with cracked earth and debris that reinforce the feeling of being in the thick of battle. The combat gauntlets of the Jump Pack Intercessors were also printed and assembled so that each miniature conveyed exactly what the player had in mind.

Customer briefing
Among ruins and lightning: march of the Blood Ravens
I had a clear idea in mind: to recreate the visual spirit of Dawn of War, maintaining the classic scheme of intense reds, bone shoulder pads, and black trim, but applying it with a clean and ornate finish.
The commission included several iconic units, but also some special requests. The most notable: a customized Exterminator Captain with a thunder hammer, designed to pay homage to Gabriel Angelos. In addition, he wanted the Assault Intercessors to all wear combat gauntlets, which we solved with 3D-printed parts, as well as the assault cannons that completed the Exterminator unit.
He also asked us to make the bases convey a ruined urban setting, consistent with the game’s universe. With all these elements in mind, we prepared a sample and, after its approval, we got to work.

Ruins beneath our feet, fire in our hearts
Once the sample layout was approved, we got down to work. The first step was to organize the project into teams to work in an agile and orderly manner. Each group went through all the assembly, priming, and painting phases before moving on to the next one.
The assembly included not only the box parts but also the conversions we had planned. We 3D printed the combat gauntlets for the Assault Intercessors and the assault cannons for the Exterminators, making sure they fit perfectly with the army’s style. The conversion of the Exterminator Captain was one of the most special moments of the process: capturing the presence of Gabriel Angelos was no small task.
The ornate level painting allowed us to play with the contrasts of red and bone details of the classic Blood Ravens scheme. The bases, crafted in a devastated urban environment, were the icing on the cake: they provide context and reinforce the visual narrative of the set
