Color and paint schemes
This project has been, literally, a large-scale Eldar invasion. Our client wanted to expand their army of Eldar Carriers with a massive force to be deployed on the surface of a frozen world, while maintaining the personality and colorfulness of their original collection of Aeldari Harlequins. And boy, did we deliver.
In total, we worked on over a hundred miniatures. Each Eldar path has its own color scheme, carefully designed and tested on a total of eleven preliminary samples to achieve exactly the tone the client had in mind.
The painting has been done at a premium level, with attention to every last gradient and outline so that each warrior, each armor, and each weapon stands out on its own, but maintains cohesion thanks to the bases. These bases, crafted with an ornate finish, recreate a frozen desert with scattered ruins and ice crystals emerging from the ground, all with three-dimensional effects and 3D-printed details for greater realism.
In addition to the painting, we took care of the complete assembly of the army. We even had to resort to 3D printing to recreate discontinued pieces, ensuring that no unit was left incomplete.

The Avatar on the Frozen Frontier
This project arose from a previous relationship. The client, a passionate collector of the Aeldari, was already familiar with our work thanks to his army of Harlequins, which we had painted in a vibrant and characterful scheme. When he decided to expand his collection with a massive force of Eldar Carriers, he didn’t hesitate to get in touch.
The briefing was as clear as it was demanding: assemble and paint a huge army, with a premium finish, in which each Eldar path had its own bright and distinctive color scheme. The setting would be a frozen world, with bases crafted to simulate a snowy desert, ruins, and crystal formations.
He wanted the whole set to convey unity, despite the variety of colors. That meant meticulous preliminary design work, color testing, and a phased painting plan. He also asked us to find a solution for miniatures that were out of production. We solved this with 3D printing, ensuring that no pieces were missing.

From day one, this project was conceived as a precision operation. We began by assembling all the miniatures, paying close attention to every adjustment and piece. When a piece was unavailable, the 3D printer was used to reproduce it faithfully.
The painting was organized in phases, starting with the most numerous and quickest units to complete, in order to gain momentum and establish the overall palette. Each Eldar path was worked on separately, applying the scheme agreed upon after the initial eleven color tests. This step was key to achieving the brightness and intensity that the client was looking for.
At the same time, we created the bases: frozen terrain, half-buried ruins, and 3D ice crystals. This process, combined with the painting, allowed us to visually unify the entire army without sacrificing the personality of each unit.
Throughout the development, we sent daily photos to the client, showing everything from the first layers of color to the final touches.
