Snow Necrons

    Snow Necrons
    Color and paint schemes

The client came to us with a very clear idea: to continue his previous Necron army, maintaining the same icy theme and color scheme.
Each miniature was treated with its own level of detail: the troops at Game level, the leaders and elites at Ornate level, and the main characters, the C’tan and the Silent King, at Premium level.
In addition to painting, we did the assembly, magnetization, 3D printing of bits, and creation of snowy bases with layers of textured ice and realistic frost effects. The palette was built on cool blues and electric glows with desaturated metallic reflections, reinforced with sky blue OSLs and light contrasts that highlight the energy cores.

Entre la Nieve y el Metal: Ejército Necrón Helado

We already knew the aesthetic basis: an army that had to look like it came from an icy planet.
He commissioned us to create an expansion that had to look like part of the same visual block, with no noticeable differences between the old and new models. He asked us to make each figure reflect the metallic coldness of an icy world, with blue as the common thread, but without losing the richness of light contrasts and wear and tear typical of old metal.
The request included full magnetization, custom 3D bits, and a detailed snowy base. He also insisted that we maintain the cold OSL lights and the ethereal aesthetic of the characters.

Blue Light in the Storm: The Silent King Returns

For three weeks, a single painter was responsible for bringing the entire army to life. From day one, the goal was clear: to maintain tonal unity between troops, elites, and characters.
The process began with the assembly and reinforcement of fragile pieces. Then, a first metallic layer served as the basis for the bluish transitions. Progressive lights were built up until the glacial glow of the OSLs was achieved. The miniature bases were worked on last, with realistic snow textures, cracked ice, and 3D metal debris to set the scene for each scene.
