Space Wolves Squad
Color and paint schemes
The client asked us for a complete Space Wolves army, but with a very specific twist: combining the wild Viking aesthetic of the Wolves with the chivalrous and solemn style of the Dark Angels. It was a risky combination, but that’s precisely why it motivated us from day one. In terms of services, this project was one of those that kept the whole workshop busy: assembly, magnetization, conversions, 3D pieces, ornate bases, and painting divided into Game, Ornate, and Premium levels, depending on the role of each miniature. The scheme was based on an image provided by the client: cool tones, white armor with blue trim, ice-effect weapons, and dense snow bases. The conversions to give them a Viking-knight look were a beautiful job: from discreet runes to furs and auric ornamentation inspired by the iconography of the Rock.

Customer briefing
Guardians of the Frozen North
Not only did he come up with a solid idea, but he also provided visual references that defined the palette: cool-toned white armor, intense blue trim, and weapons that resembled crystallized ice. Everything had to be set on snowy bases, with a sense of constant blizzard.
He also indicated which characters should wear black armor—Chaplain, Wolf Priest, and Judiciar—to highlight their rank without clashing.
The most challenging part of the briefing was the conversions. The client wanted the Deathwing Knights to adopt a more Viking aesthetic, with furs, runic engravings, and adapted shields. He also asked us to modify the Captain and the Judiciar to fit this hybrid style.

Wolves of the Deep Cold: Sculptures, Paintings, and Snowy Bases
The project began with the assembly of all the miniatures that did not require conversion. At the same time, we prepared a sample miniature for the client to approve the design.
While the painting team worked on the first units, we began working on the key conversions, especially the Deathwing Knights and the Judiciar. The skins, runic engravings, and Viking iconography details were sculpted and adapted unit by unit.
We combined the workflow with daily WIP submissions, quick reviews, and timely validations. As each unit was completed, we prepared the snowy bases to ensure total cohesion.
