Void Dragons Army
Color and paint schemes
Revisiting an old project has a special charm. This Void Dragons Army has been a return to our early work with the same client, who this time wanted to expand their collection with new heroes, assault infantry, and heavy support.
We painted the entire set to a Ornate level, while the heroes received Premium treatment, with extra polishing on metals, reflections, and gradients. We also did the complete assembly, magnetized the pieces, and created custom bases.
The main challenge was to match the colors of the previous project, replicating the characteristic blue-green of the Void Dragons and that powerful contrast with the red shoulder pads.

Customer briefing
Victrix Guard and Assault Brothers
The customer contacted us again after being delighted with his first batch of Void Dragons. He wanted to expand his army while maintaining exactly the same scheme and level of detail. He asked us to reproduce the turquoise blue with red shoulder pads and to respect the chapter’s insignia and color codes.
The request was clear: the entire army at the Ornate level, with the main heroes at Premium, including Calgar, Sicarius, and the Victrix Guard. He also requested bases crafted to the same level and the cleaning of the banners to remove the original insignia and replace them with the Void Dragons’ heraldry using freehand painting.

Bases, freehands, and chromatic consistency
This project began with the assembly and preparation of materials. We magnetized all the weapons and arms to offer maximum versatility to the customer. Then we printed and adapted the necessary 3D bits to customize the miniatures with the Void Dragons style.
We painted in large batches, working on the turquoise and red base coats simultaneously to match the tones of the previous army.
Finally, we tackled the characters, applying cold luminosity effects to metals and deep shadows to the folds of the armor.
The project concluded with the creation of all the bases and a general review before photographing the set.
