Boros Legion Marines
Color and paint schemes
Our client asked us to reinterpret some Space Marines using the Boros Legion from Magic: The Gathering as a reference.
In addition to the painting, we handled the complete assembly, conversions using 3D-printed parts, decoration of all the bases, and small custom details.
The bulk of the army was painted to the Ornate level, reserving the Premium finish for the two Captains, who also wield swords printed specifically for this project.
The silver metallic armor was the centerpiece of the entire project. On top of it, we applied sharply defined gold trim and red and white fabrics that immediately evoke the Boros aesthetic.

Forged from silver, gold, and fire
From the very beginning, the client wanted to create his own army inspired by the Boros aesthetic, bringing its signature colors into the Adeptus Astartes universe.
The combination of silver metal, gold, red, and white had to remain identical across all units to reinforce the sense of a cohesive army.
To further enhance that personality, we added orange OSL, 3D-printed conversions for the Captains, and uniform decoration on all bases using Epic Basing elements.

A Silver Legion
We began by airbrushing the entire base color scheme onto the entire set, ensuring that the silver armor maintained exactly the same shade on every unit.
The biggest challenge came with the custom iconography. The client wanted a specific emblem inspired by Boros; it was a longer process than usual, but it made all the difference in the final result.
All the bases incorporate Epic Basing elements that help unify the display without detracting from the miniatures themselves.
